Laura M. Sundquist, CPA/CFP®
Senior Financial Planner
Laura Sundquist brings over 25 years of experience in financial, college, retirement, and tax planning to her position as a Senior Financial Planner at Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM). Laura works with the entire CTWM team and is responsible for helping to develop strategic and innovative plans for clients so that risk profiles, prioritized goals, objectives, and asset allocations are appropriate for their individual circumstances.
With a background in tax, Laura identifies and promotes tax strategies that align with a client’s financial goals.
Prior to joining Connecticut Wealth Management, Laura was a Senior Planner at Sage Financial Design meeting with clients, presenting client reports, and measuring progress toward goals. Laura also spent three years living abroad in Paris and Germany and three years in public accounting at a local CPA accounting firm.
Laura graduated from Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. She received her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification from the College for Financial Planning and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy.
Affiliations & Community Involvement
Laura has been a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) Connecticut for 25+ years and is the current Treasurer. She is also the current President of the Licia & Mason Beekley Community Library in New Hartford as well as the Treasurer of the West Hill Estates Association. During her time abroad, Laura was actively involved in the American Women’s Group of Paris as Vice President of Activities, planning and organizing events for American expatriate women.
Laura, her husband, Steve, and their two boys live in New Hartford. Laura and her family enjoy traveling and spending time at West Hill Lake. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys cooking, exercising, and doing yoga.
