FARMINGTON, Connecticut — Connecticut Wealth Management, LLC (CTWM) is proud to announce that Emily Wood, CFP®, Partner and Chief Client Officer (CCO), has been recognized as an honoree of the Hartford Business Journal’s (HBJ) 40 Under Forty Awards.

The 40 Under Forty Awards recognizes outstanding young professionals in the Greater Hartford area who are excelling in their industries through their leadership roles. The recipients are driven by success, motivated by challenges, and are role models for their peers.

Wood, who has been with the firm for five years, has made a tremendous impact on CTWM throughout her tenure. Wood, who was promoted to Partner and Chief Client Officer (CCO) at the beginning of 2022, is the youngest partner in the firm’s history.

“I consider myself fortunate to be recognized alongside such notable and talented peers,” said Wood. “I share this success with the incredibly talented team at CTWM, who have awarded me with the opportunities that have molded me into the leader I am today. I’m excited to continue to grow as a professional and to take inspiration from my fellow honorees in continuing to move CTWM forward.”

In her role, Wood guides the overall strategic vision and executes the firm’s mission to “turn life’s aspirations into reality for clients and team” through creativity and innovation. She oversees existing and emerging client services, ensuring that clients have an exceptional experience throughout every aspect of their financial lives. She also oversees the advisory team, helping to remove barriers so that they can focus their attention on advising clients while bridging the gap between leadership and the broader team.

Wood has aided in CTWM’s continued growth efforts, helping to double the size of the team to 60+ people over the last two years, and has also implemented a formal management structure at the firm. She led the charge of a recent merger, successfully onboarding 150 new clients to the firm while managing every aspect of both clients and staff during this transition. In collaboration with her team, Wood conceptualized and launched a new firm offering focused exclusively on the unique needs of business owners.

Wood graduated from Hollins University and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) licensee. Residing in New Hartford with her family, Wood is very involved in the surrounding community. She is President of the Connecticut Association of Human Services (CAHS), as well as serves as a board member of Advancing Connecticut Together (ACT) and the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center. Additionally, she volunteers with the Connecticut Money School, providing free financial coaching to those in need.

Wood, along with her peers of the 40 Under Forty Awards, will be honored at a ceremony on September 28, 2023.
