Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM) is excited to announce that Joshua Brier has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer (COO). With extensive executive leadership experience in financial services and operational risk, Brier brings a wealth of knowledge that will drive CTWM’s continued growth and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

As COO, Josh will be instrumental in optimizing CTWM’s operations and driving strategic initiatives to support the firm’s long-term vision. He will work closely with leadership to enhance client service, refine operational processes, and ensure seamless execution across all business functions.

Prior to joining CTWM, Brier was the Chief Operating Officer at GYL Financial Synergies where he developed operating policies and drove strategic initiatives. His career began in retail banking at Bank of America, where he spent over a decade overseeing banking center operations, risk management, and customer experience across 5,000+ locations. Brier then transitioned to leadership roles in community banking and credit unions, managing growth strategies and improving client service models for institutions ranging from $590MM to $800MM in assets. As President and CEO of GFA Federal Credit Union, he led initiatives that increased market share and expanded services.
Brier holds a Master of Business Administration from New England College of Business. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Arizona State University.
Beyond his professional achievements, Brier is deeply involved in the West Hartford community. He serves as an assistant coach for the local youth softball team and actively supports his son’s baseball league. He has also held various board and committee leadership positions within the community. Brier and his family currently reside in West Hartford.
