Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM) is a well-established, fast-growing, independent, registered investment advisory firm. CTWM is currently hiring an experienced Client Service Specialist to support a team of financial advisors and their high-net-worth clients. We are seeking an energetic professional with excellent organizational and communication skills. This is a very fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment and is not considered an entry-level position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with an advisory team to service a book of clients, completing transactional and administrative tasks such as:
- Opening new accounts
- Processing transfers and rollovers
- Depositing checks
- Money movement, including EFTs and wires
- Address, phone, or other contact changes
- Updating account holders, trustees, and beneficiaries
- Scanning and filing client documentation
- Maintaining the integrity of data
- Display independence in the completion of client work and take initiative without prompting on basic tasks. Exhibit a commitment to excellence with strong attention to detail, problem solving and high-quality service.
- Interact with clients and build positive relationships through telephone, email, and at firm events. Attend client meetings for servicing items. Develop personal relationships with clients and promote a team approach to ensuring client satisfaction.
- Serve as the ‘COO’ of the advisory team, promoting consistency, efficiency, and organization of client management. Generate reports of client activity, monitor outstanding tasks, and prompt follow up as needed.
- Provide support to clients in the use of firm technology, in person and virtually. Troubleshoot issues related to logging on, accessing account information or documents, providing digital signatures, etc.
- Resolve complex client service requests or issues, performing research, and looping in outside business partners or other resources as needed. Work closely with the firm custodian to ensure timely and proper resolution of all client matters.
- Display proficiency in basic mathematical calculations, such as computing tax withholding, converting dollars to a number of shares, or determining a client’s required minimum distribution.
- Proactively manage client data by inputting information accurately and thoroughly into various systems. Run reports to determine and maintain data integrity.
- Collaborate with other service specialists to share knowledge and experiences, further developing firmwide best practices for providing exceptional service.
- As needed, welcome clients to the office space and direct inbound phone calls. May be responsible for other internal administrative responsibilities.
Requirements:
- Superior customer service skills
- Must be a collaborator and possess a client-first and solution-oriented attitude.
- Experience working in the financial services industry with private, high net-worth clients is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to discuss general information with teammates, clients, and business partners.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Exceptional confidentiality and professionalism.
- Must be comfortable in a highly digital environment, and master transacting/documenting in several different systems.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite and CRM software. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- Will need to work in our Farmington, CT office regularly with work from home flexibility.
