Marketing & Operations Intern (in-office) – Summer 2025

Position

Connecticut Wealth Management is seeking a highly capable individual to serve as our Marketing & Operations Intern. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple teams, including Marketing, Operations, and leadership, offering a holistic view of how marketing and operations support the firm’s growth and client service. This is an in-office role only.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assistance in developing social media content (posts, videos, graphics, etc.) 
  • Monitoring of engagement from audience and engage as appropriate, flagging when there is an immediate need to be addressed. 
  • Assistance with updating the website inclusive of images/text, content and user experience, as needed 
  • Repurposing content from media segments 
  • Assistance with events (internal/external/team), prior, during, after 
  • Some local travel may be required. 
  • Research into new opportunities –digital business cards, new event management tool, connectivity between website and CRM, etc.  
  • Assistance with sponsorship items – reviewing what marketing needs to do for selected sponsorship, outreach to vendor if unclear, sending over logos, etc. 
  • Minor design tasks – social graphics, experience squares/inserts, other one-off tasks 
  • Active participation in Marketing team meetings and calendar management.
  • Copy edit marketing materials as needed for proper grammar, etc. 
  • Assistance with seasonal projects (i.e., Client Appreciation Party preparation, swag shop, advisor events, golf tournaments). 
  • Assistance with data entry and upkeep in CRM, documentation of processes.
    • Running reports and reviewing data for integrity issues
    • Analyzing data to identify trends and patterns
    • Making improvements to data collection and analysis processes

Qualifications:

  • A desire for a career in business operations and/or marketing/communications fields.
  • The candidate for this position must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work with a diverse team and possess strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • The ideal candidate should have excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • A working knowledge of marketing tactics and best practices is helpful but not required.
  • No prior experience in this field is expected, but a strong desire to learn is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the following software/tools is a plus: Canva, Monday.com, CRM systems
