Meet the Team

Joey Koontz is a Portfolio Data Analyst at Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM) and joined the team in 2024. He has an extensive background in data management and database creation and maintenance.

Previously, Joey was a member of the Stats & Analysis Team at ESPN for 14 years, where he oversaw all college basketball data operations, provided video analysis and content generation for the company’s NFL coverage, and trained new hires on college football and college basketball applications.

Education

Joey holds a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Florida, where he graduated cum laude.

Affiliations & Community Involvement

While at Florida, Joey was a student manager for the men’s basketball program and was part of two national championship teams.

Outside of the office, Joey enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife and two sons at their home in Bristol. He and his family attend Central Baptist Church in Southington.
