FARMINGTON, Connecticut – Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM) is proud to announce that Michael A. Tedone, CPA/PFS, Partner and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), has been honored as a recipient of Hartford Business Journal’s C-Suite Awards.
The C-Suite Awards recognize top-performing C-Suite level executives in the Greater Hartford area who display commitment to good ethics, reporting, and community involvement while contributing to their organization’s overall growth.
Since joining CTWM in 2013, Tedone has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s growth and structure while ensuring its long-term success. He oversees the firm’s finances with over $3.5 billion in assets under management (AUM).

In his role as CFO, Tedone leads the development and expansion of the finance department. He has been instrumental in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions and was responsible for leading the charge on the first successful merger of his firm with CTWM in 2013. Since then, he has overseen three additional mergers, driving growth and improved experiences for both clients and teammates alike.
One of Tedone’s most significant contributions to CTWM is building the company’s financial structure from the ground up through the implementation of effective checks and balances while supporting the firm’s growth and profitability. His efforts have contributed to the improved infrastructure of CTWM, including a renovation of the firm’s 11,000 square foot office space. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Tedone ensured the financial stability of the firm, maintaining full employment for staff and uninterrupted service for clients, demonstrating his crisis management skills.
Tedone graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). Residing in Wethersfield, Tedone is involved with the surrounding community. He serves on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford, as well as the HR committee. He is also involved with the charitable organizations CTWM supports, such as The Bridge Family Center, Hartford Youth Scholars, and United Negro College Fund.
Tedone and his fellow award recipients will be honored at a ceremony on October 10, 2024. The award categories include Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Lifetime Achievement.
Previously, Kevin Leahy, CFP®, Partner and Co-founder, was honored as a Hartford Business Journal C-Suite Award recipient in 2019 in the following category: Chief Executive Officer for a business with fewer than 100 employees.
