Integrator/Chief Operating Officer

The Integrator/Chief Operating Officer develops and manages operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies. The Integrator/COO is responsible for enhancing the internal organizational processes and infrastructures that will allow the firm to continue to develop and fulfill its mission. This position ensures all operational areas are meeting or exceeding established goals and metrics. This role provides leadership and management expertise to assist firm leaders in identifying challenges and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO, partners, and other leadership in developing and implementing organizational vision and operational goals.
  • Oversee and implement an organizational structure that ensures team/department roles are filled, the most effective individuals hold those positions, and individual responsibilities are organized and functional.
  • Develop and maintain operational systems and processes. Analyze current operational processes and performance, making improvements to maximize efficiency, productivity, and consistency throughout the firm.
  • Integrate all major operating functions of the business.
  • Collaborate with the CEO/Visionary and stay on the same page. Maintain a high level of mutual respect with the Visionary, and filter and translate ideas into functional plans for the firm.
  • Leads and executes the Entrepreneurial Operating System – EOS – process at the leadership team level and throughout the firm.
  • Translate firm’s strategic plan into actionable goals for departments and teammates. Help implement organization-wide goal setting and annual planning.
  • Ensure that all organizational processes and policies reflect firm’s core purpose and values, and that everyone in the organization follows them consistently. Analyze internal operations and identify areas of potential process enhancement.
  • Communicate the strategic plan to staff to ensure understanding and support. Manage relevant, clear, and concise internal communications and feedback through avenues such as staff meetings.
  • Modify the strategic plan in response to changing internal and external factors with support and input of the Management team.
  • Oversee coordination and prioritization of all firm projects, ensuring proper resources are allocated to projects.
  • Evaluate overall firm performance or set future initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics from various departments and initiatives.
  • Keep the company’s high-level strategy front-and-center while understanding the details of day-to-day execution to ensure what needs to happen does happen.
  • Supervise and provide leadership, thought partnership, and support to a portion of the leadership team. Provide constructive feedback and guidance on goal setting, project management, and decision-making. Provide mentoring for manager development and leadership succession planning.
  • Hold the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
  • Partner Liaison: Ensure partners have thorough and up-to-date information about the status of the company.
  • Resolve issues effectively by identifying issues, calling out the real problems, and solving them in a practical and healthy manner. Ensures the team is healthy, functional, and cohesive.
  • Ability to anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action.
  • Remain updated on technical and leadership expertise by attending educational workshops, joining professional associations, building networks with fellow professionals, and reviewing industry publications.
  • Participate in industry-related events or associations that will enhance leadership skills, the organization’s reputation, and the organization’s potential for success.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a culture builder and transformative leader, building a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee firm reporting systems, ensuring data collected is meaningful and effective.
  • Overseeing the integration of firms merged into and acquired by CTWM.
  • Manage relationships/agreements with select external partners/vendors.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in operational leadership position. Preference for working in the investments/financial services industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree a plus in a related field.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience leading various functions including Compliance, Process Improvement, and Operations. Familiarity with EOS – Entrepreneurial Operating System a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record for leading business objectives.
  • Managerial experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
