Joshua Brier
Chief Operating Officer
Joshua Brier is the Chief Operating Officer at Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM), where he leads the firm’s operational strategy, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and an exceptional client experience. With a deep background in financial services and operational leadership, Josh plays a key role in driving CTWM’s long-term vision while optimizing day-to-day operations.
Prior to joining CTWM, Josh was Chief Operating Officer at GYL Financial Synergies, where he developed operational policies and implemented strategic initiatives to enhance client service. He spent over a decade at Bank of America overseeing banking center operations, risk management, and customer experience, leading initiatives that impacted 5,000+ locations nationwide. Later in his career, he held senior leadership roles in community banking and credit unions, driving growth strategies for institutions ranging from $590MM to $800MM in assets. As President and CEO of GFA Federal Credit Union, he led initiatives to expand market share, strengthen client relationships, and enhance service delivery.

Josh holds a Master of Business Administration from New England College of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government from Arizona State University.
Affiliations & Community Involvement
Active in the community, Josh has held various board and committee leadership positions. He is a past board chair for Bethsaida Community of Norwich and previously served on the scholarship committee for the Northcentral Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce. He Is currently an assistant coach for a local youth softball team and actively supports his son’s baseball league. Josh resides in West Hartford with his wife, their three children, and their three English bulldogs.
