Kelly McDaniel

Director of Business Owner Services

Kelly McDaniel serves as Director of Business Owner Services at Connecticut Wealth Management (CTWM), where she partners with business owners to strengthen one of the most critical drivers of long-term success: their people. She works closely with clients on leadership development, executive coaching, talent strategy, and organizational effectiveness, helping them build effective teams, navigate growth, and prepare for future transitions. Her work connects the health of a business with the personal and financial goals of its owner, supporting more thoughtful and successful outcomes over time.

Kelly brings more than 25 years of experience in organizational development consulting. She began her career in management with the Gannett family of newspapers before transitioning into consulting, where she was mentored by Bob DeLisa, founder of DeLisaGroup. In 2013, she acquired DeLisaGroup as part of a succession plan and led the firm for over a decade, expanding its capabilities across leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and recruiting. She has advised small to mid-sized businesses on strategic planning, succession, team dynamics, and executive coaching, taking a highly customized approach to client engagement.

Education & Certifications

Kelly earned her undergraduate degree from Binghamton University and her MBA from the University of Connecticut. She also completed advanced study at the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science, where she received a certificate in designing experience-based learning programs. Kelly is a certified counselor in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI), Hogan Assessments®, and the TruScore Survey® suite.

Affiliations & Community Involvement

Kelly is active in the Connecticut business community and frequently serves as a speaker and facilitator for local and national organizations. She has served as an Adjunct Instructor in the Business Department at Manchester Community College and the Board of Directors for the Connecticut chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association, where she chaired the Workforce Development Committee.

Kelly resides in Simsbury with her husband, Sean, and their two teenagers. She is a dedicated sports mom, supporting track, cheerleading, and Simsbury Trojan athletics. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking, and gardening, often accompanied by her family dog, Lucy.
